Lessons three and four both deal with figures of speech that are used for comparison. This lesson explains the difference between metaphors and similes, as these similar forms of comparison are often confused. Prior to showing the lesson, you could get learners to compile their own definitions as well as examples of similes and metaphors. They could then check these as they watch the lesson. Alternatively, you might like to collect examples that your learners will be familiar with and which they will be able to use as a start for their analysis of imagery. You can then move on to original examples. The Business and Financial Sections of the Sunday Times provide plenty of useful examples.
