In this live Gr 12 Life Sciences show we take a look at Homeostasis in Humans. In this lesson we define homeostasis and state that the conditions within cells depends on the conditions within the internal environment. We list the factors/conditions within tissue fluid that should be kept constant. We describe the control of the levels of glucose, carbon dioxide, water and salts through negative feedback. We identify the different parts of the skin involved in thermoregulation. Finally, we look at the role of sweating, vasodilation and vasoconstriction in the process of thermoregulation.
